Small Kangxi Period Lotus-Petal Cup, Late 17th Century – Kintsugi Restored
A delicate small cup from the Kangxi period (1662–1722), decorated in underglaze blue with elegant lotus-petal panels. The interior is adorned with floral decoration in the centre, while the base bears a “Yu” mark.
A break has been restored using traditional kintsugi techniques with urushi and gold powder, preserving the cup’s historical character while creating a striking visual accent.
The refined lotus-petal decoration and compact size make this a particularly attractive example of Kangxi porcelain. A charming piece for display, collection, or as a thoughtful gift for lovers of antique Chinese ceramics and kintsugi art.
